If you want to buy a video game console then you may have been wondering which is the best or which should you buy? There is tough competition between all the seventh generation game manufacturers and if you should only buy the one that suits you.

Currently the top 3 consoles that the most popular are PlayStation 3 produced by Sony also known as PS3, Xbox 360 produced by Microsoft and Nintendo's Wii. All these have different features and each gives you a different gaming experience. I will give you some information about these video game consoles. So, it will help you to decide which one will be best for you.

The first console that I'm going to write about is Sony PlayStation 3. Sony PlayStation 3 is a part of seventh generation era of consoles and utilizes the next generation format Blu-Ray. It is the third installment in the PlayStation series by Sony. This gaming system comes with a powerful processor of 3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine with 7 SPEs and 1 PPE. You can also play online games with PS3. PlayStation 3 uses a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive. The different version of PS3 comes with different hard drive capacities. The versions that are currently available in the market are 120 GB and 250 GB. The older versions such as 160 GB, 80 GB, 60GB, 40 GB and 20 GB are discontinued. You can also upgrade the hard drive. You can get a PlayStation 3 for 299 US Dollars.

The next console is Xbox 360. It is the second video game console produced as a successor to the previous Xbox by Microsoft. The XBox 360 console supports DVD, compact Disc and HD DVD. You can also download the media file from the internet. Microsoft Xbox 360 runs a powerful processor 3.2 GHz PowerPC tri Core Xenon. It uses storage mediums and different version comes with different storing capacities such as 512 MB, 20 GB, 60 GB, 120 GB and 250 GB. Currently only the 250 GB version is in production. You can get a 250 GB version of Xbox 360 for 299 US Dollars.

Nintendo's Wii is also a competitor of the seventh generation era of video game consoles. It was released on November 19, 2006. Nintendo Wii is the fifth iteration of Nintendo and is the successor of previously produced Nintendo GameCube. Nintendo Wii uses a 12 cm Wii optical Disc and 8 cm GameCube disc. It uses an IBM Power PC based "Broadway" and an internal flash memory of 512 MB. You can get a Nintendo Wii for 199 US Dollars.
